District land office Receivers were responsible for collecting fees and commissions for various duties they performed. This classified abstract of collections provides a monthly list of fees and commissions collected. Most of the collections are for homestead entries, but the volume also includes commuted homesteads, railroad selections, homestead excesses, timber and stone entries, Cherokee School lands and testimony fees. Each entry includes the date, the serial number, the receipt number, purchaser's name, acreage, rate per acre and amount collected in fees and commissions.
